Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How far do you deliver?
A: We are only licensed to operate with Tompkins County
Q: Can you ship to me?
A: No. Our philosophy is all about keeping our business local, using many local products, keeping our footprint small and using the least amount of packaging as we can. Shipping would dramatically increase our carbon footprint, so please shop locally!
Q: Do you have a pick-up location?
A: Not yet. We would like to offer this option in the future, possibly in Trumansburg for our customers who are in Seneca and Schuyler counties (So close! And yet so far!). Please stay posted for updates.
Q: Is Sunday the only day you deliver?
A: Yes. For the same reasons as above, being able to create an efficient route using the least amount of gas not only saves us time and money, it is fewer emissions and gas spent idling in daily traffic during the hectic Monday-Friday business hours. No one is one the road early Sunday morning!
Q: I have severe allergies to certain foods/I need a medically approved diet for my condition. Can you accommodate my restrictions?
A: While we can alter certain dishes to remove meat, dairy, gluten or other ingredients that are not key components of a dish, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination of allergens will not occur. We are working in a shared-use commercial kitchen and with a lot of ingredients.
If you have a medical condition, please be aware that we are not trained dietitians. We can make simple substitutions at your request but we do not the the training to make suggestions for you.
We want you to be healthy and safe, please consult your doctor if you have concerns.
Q: Where are you located? Are you cooking in a health department regulated kitchen?
A: We are cooking in the Cornell Cooperative Extension Cargill Kitchen at 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca, NY. This is a shared-use commercial kitchen that is inspected by the Tompkins County Health Department. Our business license is through the US Department of Agriculture because we are a food processor creating frozen food for later consumption.
